Hope for the future - Help us trust again
Crosskennan Lane Animal Sanctuary

Horses

We also have a register of horses and ponies that are needing homes elsewhere in Northern Ireland so if we have nothing that suits you at the sanctuary the perfect horse may still be out there. If you contact us we can take your details and match you up with a horse or pony in our register that is needing a home. Crosskennan will still offer any help needed if you choose a horse or pony this way.

Although we do not have very many dogs at the sanctuary needing homes, we have a register of dogs desperately needing loving owners. We believe it is less traumatic to rehome a dog from home to home, sparing the stress of life in kennels.

Spot

4 year old, neutured male, Border Collie

He was badly treated in his previous home and took a long time to recover from his experiences. He has received basic training at the sanctuary and shows great potential for agility and obedience work. He needs to be introduced to new experiences slowly but CLAS staff are confident that with the right person he will overcome any inital problems. He is looking for a home without young children as he can be quite excitable and ideally would like a home with an individual or a couple with time to spend with him. A well fenced garden is essential and he needs to be introduced to house life slowly so a garage or a good quality kennel might be useful in the first few weeks, although Spot is clean in his kennel so house training should be straightforward. He travels well in a car and enjoys his walks.

Primrose

10 year old, spayed female , Jack Russell Cross

Promise has been in our care for about 2 months after being abandoned but is now ready to find a new safe and secure home. She is a very special dog with a great personality and a sense of fun. She is good with people and other dogs and will thrive in a loving home environment. She needs a home with somebody who has the time to give her the attention she deserves and a secure garden. Her new owners will receive full support and advice regarding her settlement into her new life.

Robbie

1 year old, male , Border Collie

Robbie came into the sanctuary in a traumatised and emaciated state but is now looking for a new home. He is putting on weight and is starting to show his personality. He is looking for a loving home with a secure garden who can give him all the love and attention he has missed out on already. Robbie is good with kids, dog and cats. He is very quick to learn and owners will be given advice on his future training, he would have potentional for obedience or agility.
