CLAS Education Horse Care Course

This course covers the basics and is great for anyone thinking of getting a horse of their own; that owns a horse but has never had any formal training on horse care or that simply wants to brush up on their skills. This course is hands on and participants will get a chance to work with some of the resident horses of Crosskennan Lane Animal Sanctuary.

Week 1: Catching, leading and tying up
Week 2: Grooming and tacking up
Week 3: Rugs, types of tack and tack care
Week 4: Feeding, yard and field maintenance
Week 5: Horse health and behaviour
Cost:
£15 per person per class if payment made on the day
£13 per person per class if payment made in advance*
£60 per person for advance* payment for all 5 weeks
*Cancellation of pre-paid courses will be given a full refund if made 24 hours before the class/course commences.
